The LK Group appoints Simon Johnson to the role of associate director. The new hire comes in response to increasing business in the southern part of the country.

Simon originally will be based in the Group’s Southern office. In summary, he offers over 23 years of experience in the assessment, remediation and management of contaminated land. Particularly in support of regeneration and infrastructure projects.

Simon is a natural fit for The LK Group, with a shared ethos. In addition, he presents a strong history of de-risking sites, revising risk assessments, preventing excessive remediation and maximising development potential for clients.

Simon also holds key technical skills in the assessment of defence-related sites. In addition, with managing issues related to explosives, ordnance, radiological contaminants and chemical weapon agents.

Simon has joined The LK Group from Atkins and has also worked at BAE Systems and WYG. Throughout his career has acquired extensive knowledge of the southern market, particularly the South and South West.

His appointment comes as a direct response to steady and sustained growth for the Southern office. Simon consequently joins an expanding team led by director Ian Deans and technical director Dr Paul Quimby.

The Southern office of The LK Group has recently relocated to new, state-of-the-art premises in Welwyn Garden City. Accordingly, we’re taking advantage of better transport links with its other regional offices and clients across the south of England.
