Site Manager

Full-time, Permanent

Location: North West – Site based 

Qualifications required: SMSTS, First Aid, Full Driving Licence

As a Site Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the site team is fully aware of what needs to be done and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives. You will be required to develop working relationships and ensure standards are maintained, regarding health, safety, and environment while keeping to the programme.

You will have a strong background and knowledge of managing demolition and/or remediation sites, ground engineering, remediation techniques, and soil stabilisation. You will be required to manage sub-contractors including specialist asbestos removal contractors.

Your technical and managerial ability will allow you to liaise with site engineers, ground contractors, and professional clients to ensure projects are delivered within the given timescale and budget.

The key tasks of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervision and Health and Safety of the workforce (sub-contractors and directly employed).
  • Set up and maintain the site, site traffic management plans, and welfare.
  • Locate, survey, protect, or have disconnected, services as required.
  • The management of all site processes, including maintaining accurate records.
  • Taking and managing photographs of all work carried out on site
  • Liaison with engineers and co-ordination of surveying and setting out (remediation).
  • Ordering materials and items of plant.
  • Organising chemical and geotechnical analysis to ensure regulatory sign-off.
  • Carry out site inductions for all site personnel and visitors.
  • Carry out daily whiteboard briefings.
  • Keep RAMS up to date and modify them when necessary to reflect ongoing activities.
  • Carry out Dynamic Risk Assessments throughout the working day.
  • Communicate work plans, task briefings, toolbox talks, and safety alerts to the workforce.
  • Carry out routine checks and record information in accordance with company procedures.
  • Being the company representative and ensuring a positive company image is always portrayed.

Air Tightness Tester

Full-time, Permanent

Location: North West

Qualifications required: Ideally candidates will be educated to a degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate construction related discipline and/or will be a fully qualified Air Tightness tester however we will consider applicants without these qualifications depending on experience, Full Driving Licence

Applications are sought from candidates, ideally, with experience in undertaking air leakage testing including calculating design air permeability for Part L and Part E compliance. It is anticipated that the successful Air Testing Engineer will have excellent written and verbal communications and will be confident in client-facing.  Career progression is available for the right candidate in the other services that the company provides.

Japanese knotweed sprayer/surveyor

Location: UK Wide

Qualifications required: Full Driving Licence, PA1 /PA6 AW (Prefered),  CAD experience (Prefered)

Due to a recent increase in workload, we are seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual for the position of Japanese knotweed sprayer/surveyor reporting to the Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be working on sites treating and surveying Japanese knotweed and other invasive plants.  The candidate will also formulate treatment and remediation plans for invasive species and the role will involve client contact.

Full training will be provided, however, previous experience would be an advantage.

Work takes place throughout the country, but predominantly in the North West of England.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following abilities;

  • Work well within a team and other colleagues / sub-contractors
  • Organise your time and workload
  • Willingness to occasionally work away from home
  • Good communicator in written and verbal skills
  • Good computer skills in all Microsoft applications
  • Maintain client relationships
