Geoenvironmental Engineer

Location: Swindon

Salary: £24,000.00 -£30,000.00 per annum, plus benefits and pension

The Opportunity

We want like-minded people to be part of our long-term sustainable growth and have a fantastic opportunity within our Swindon office for talented geoenvironmental engineers.

We want you to use your ambition and initiative to help us complete projects professionally and efficiently while meeting the needs of our clients.

The role is based in Swindon, with the opportunity to occasionally work from our offices across the UK.

Core Duties:

  • Phase 1 desk studies
  • Phase 2 site investigations
  • Gas and groundwater monitoring
  • Technical report writing
  • Client liaison

You will also play your part in the wider team, by supporting our project management and land remediation divisions as an expert in your field.

The Person

Like you, we care about people and the environment.  Safety, health, and environment underpin our values and you will play a big part in us maintaining these.  You will take pride in sustaining a good working environment and demonstrating a keen commercial awareness.

You will have experience as a geoenvironmental engineer and in a core range of ground investigation techniques, along with good IT skills and a full driving licence.

The successful candidate will have an academic background with relevant degree qualifications.  Some experience in the geoenvironmental industry is required.

Flood Risk Analyst/Hydraulic Modeller

Location: Manchester

Salary: £30,000.00 – £35,000.00 per annum, plus benefits and pension

  • Flood risk assessments for planning applications
  • Flood estimation using ReFH2
  • Hydrological assessments and hydraulic modelling
  • Model build and verification using flood modeller and HEC-RAS
  • Surface water management plans
  • Drainage impact assessments 
  • Drainage strategy
  • SuDS design using AutoCAD
  • Phase 2 site investigations
  • Gas and groundwater monitoring
  • Technical report writing
  • Client liaison

You will also play your part in the wider team, by supporting our contaminated land,  project management, and land remediation divisions as an expert in your field.
