Due to our continued growth and client demand, we have the opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented flood risk engineer to join our Radcliffe office and to be part of our long-term sustainable growth. 

As a flood risk engineer, you will be responsible for completing flood risk assessments for planning applications, surface water management plans, drainage impact assessments and much more. You will also have the opportunity to manage small-scale projects and work with our team of geoenvironmental consultants for multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities  

  • Production of Flood Risk Assessments for planning applications.  
  • Surface water management plans. 
  • Drainage impact assessments.  
  • Drainage strategy and detailed SuDS designs. 
  • Contribute to Geo-environmental Investigation reports.  

 Requirements  

  • HND or BSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, or similar.  
  • 1 year+ experience within a UK based consultancy or Local Authority role completing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage design.  
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, Masterdrain, GiS software or similar. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. 
  • High motivation for this specific opportunity. 
  • Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager’s requirements. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
