Our reports helped to achieve outline planning consent. Value of the site increased dramatically

We provided a detailed quantitative assessment of the flood risks associated with the site, recommending Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) elements such as detention basins and swales. These would provide surface water storage, with an allowance for climate change, resulting in reduced flood risk both on and off site. Creating potential for improving the local ecosystems would increase biodiversity and provide attractive amenity areas.

Our client was concerned by the existing topography, local ground conditions and remote location of potential outflows from the site. By finding a way for the runoff outflow to be connected and involving suitable SuDS, we were able to recommend the most cost-effective solution.

We provided total support to our client throughout the entire planning period. Our reports helped our client to achieve outline planning permission in January 2020, substantially increasing the value of the site. Through a combination of our bespoke approach, a comprehensive analysis and our extensive experience in this area, we ensured a smooth progression throughout the entire process.
