Geotechnical & Contaminated Land Site Investigation
The LK Group was approached by My Property Survey Ltd to undertake a Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessment (PRA) and Phase 2 Site Investigation in Weybridge, Southwest London.
Our client required these investigations to support their refurbishment of an existing commercial building of predominantly residential use and the construction of a new five-storey residential apartment block to join the existing building.

THE SOLUTION
We carried out a PRA, including site walkover, to establish the anticipated ground conditions based upon which we would specify a suitable scope of ground investigation works.
The Phase 2 Site Investigation works comprised utility service scans, followed by window sample boreholes and dynamic probes to 10mbgl, to inform the design of foundations for the new build element. Analysis of soil samples was undertaken to inform our geotechnical, waste disposal and contamination assessment.
THE BENEFIT
We delivered our interpretative report with the necessary foundation design parameters, concrete classification, waste disposal classification and contamination risk assessment for our client to progress their detailed design works.
