Concrete Coring – Scotland
The site was an existing retail outlet , which was to be redeveloped. Due to the store being open during the day, all intrusive work had to be undertaken during night time hours.
The work required drilling to obtain information on subfloor ground conditions. Additionally, there was suspected asbestos in the area of investigation, which required suitable mitigation and asbestos awareness training before work could commence.
Work completed with minimum disruption
To obtain information on subfloor ground conditions without destroying the existing concrete floor, concrete coring was required.
All cores and sub-base were tested for asbestos, logged to BS5930 and placed back into the void to reinstate the concrete floor.
Asbestos was not identified and the floor was reinstated to the satisfaction of the client.
