LK Group declared best in class at The Green Apple Awards and recognised as ‘Green Champion’ in Sustainable Development.

The LK Group was thrilled to be declared best in class in the Sustainable Development Sector this week at The Green Apple Awards for Environmental Best Practice 2022.

LK manging director, Conor Leyden, together with Samantha Neden and Helen Bennett joined a room full of like-minded sustainability innovators at an intimate presentation ceremony held at The Houses of Parliament in London.

The highly sought-after award for Green Champion in the Building and Construction Sustainable Development Sector was presented to The LK Group in recognition of its sustainable delivery of both site investigation and land remediation at Collyhurst Village, part of the flagship Victoria North urban regeneration project. The Group was able to achieve a high level of sustainability through value engineering and recycling materials on site for its clients Far East Consortium and Manchester City Council.

The awards ceremony was presided over by environmentalist and motivational speaker, Phil Williams, owner of Plan-it Eco, who has given his life to promoting environmental awareness, encouraging people to work more responsibly and sustainably.

The Green Apple Awards are organised by The Green Organisation and reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.
