Pontefract Fire Station is situated in a key location for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS). The role of The LK Group was to provide Project Management support to the property department of the WYFRS on the construction of the new facility.

THE SOLUTION
The LK Group carried out a pre-construction planning workshop prior to construction commencing, allowing the Design Team, Client, Contractor and Station Manager to fully understand the schedule of works. We also facilitated weekly meetings to review the forthcoming week of work, including programme, to ensure the project was delivered accurately and on budget.
THE BENEFIT
Our effective co-ordination and management, and also construction best practice, enabled the £2 million facility to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’. All works were completed ahead of programme and within our client’s budget.
