Desk Study & Geoenvironmental Risk Assessment
The LK Group was asked to undertake a desk study and preliminary risk assessment to unlock a complex planning issue for a site with historical use as a laundry.
Upon completion of local searches and with the owner’s private records for the site, we were able to unlock the planning issues by demonstrating the site had been divided and sold in sections for its previous commercial uses, thereby discharging the constraints that had been imposed on its redevelopment.
Residential extension with complex planning constraints
Full discharge of the planning conditions.
Our desk study and site assessment used local and national searches, together with historical records for the site.
We demonstrated to the Local Council Planning Authority that the main constraint resulting from the site’s prior occupation as the laundry was located to the rear of the property structure, off-site from the current ownership and application.
Through careful delivery of a desk study, site observation and searches, The LK Group was able to unlock the complex planning constraints and allow the site extension to proceed, with full discharge of the planning conditions.
