We are happy that Bury Council chose The LK Group to carry out studies of the former Bury Fire Station site. As part of a geo-environmental investigation, including a:
- Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessment and;
- Phase 2 Geo-environmental Investigation of the site.
The site, furthermore, sits at The Rock in Bury Town Centre.
About the Bury Fire Station geo-environmental investigation
Demolition of the Bury Fire Station and nearby buildings leave the site in reduction to floor slab level. Bury Council wishes to sell the land for redevelopment as well. Accordingly, The LK Group will assist in securing the best value for the site. But at this stage, no proposed development is in the works.
Above all, the risk assessments and data analysis that The LK Group do will:
- enable the Council to accurately assess the value of the land and;
- remove a significant amount of potential uncertainties so common with selling brownfield sites for redevelopment.
