IPPC
Why do industrial processes need to have an IPPC Permit?
A Permit is needed to show that a Process is using the Best Available Techniques (BAT) to minimise the pollution produced, otherwise a process will not be allowed to operate.
As the Permit integrates the provisions of several existing pieces of legislation in the UK, it addresses all the impacts to the environment of a process and therefore requires a comprehensive assessment. Most companies operating installations subject to PPC Regulation are unable to prepare their own applications due to time constraints and the mass of specialised reports that are required and therefore a market has developed for consultancy services in the provision of advice on BAT and the preparation of IPPC Applications.
Leyden Kirby Associates provide management advice and monitoring to SMEs to facilitate the approval of an IPPC Application by:
- Initially providing a gap analysis of the current information and data available at the installation and a subsequent completion timetable for outstanding documents.
- Advise employees of the applicants company of the requirements for the different documents
- Ensure those documents are produced and completed to a satisfactory standard for delivery to enforcing authority
Provide specific reports on Site Condition, Noise, Energy Efficiency and Effluvia emissions to air and water
Why use Leyden Kirby Associates?
