The LK Group Service's are provided through the above companies, all of which are operated as separate profit centres with separate management teams.
History of Leyden Kirby Associates Ltd
Leyden Kirby Associates was formed in April 1998, as a partnership, providing advice and project management in process based remedial systems for contaminated land.
The Partnership was involved in Soil Washing and advanced treatment of metaliferous contamination by Specific Gravity Separation, and in the remediation Project Management of former brownfield sites in the Northeast of England.
In 2001 the Partners took the decision to enlarge the practice and to expand into the full range of services of an Environmental Consultancy.
Initially, the Practice was involved in the technical appraisal of environmental liabilities in relation to Land and Property, particularly;
- Environmental Liability Assessments (Phases I & II)
- Contaminated Land Site Investigations
- Human Health Risk Assessments
- Remediation Design
- Remediation Programme Management
During 2001 and 2002 the Practice continued to expand and added further specialisms to the portfolio:
- IPPC Site Condition Reports & Permit Applications
- Environmental Management Systems
Founding of The LK Group
In 2003 the founding partners took the decision to convert the business into a Limited Company. Leyden Kirby Associates Limited was incorporated in June 2003 and trades as the LK Group. The company services were then substantially extended and appropriately delivered via the companies listed above. Specialist management teams have been recruited with senior management holding equity in their respective companies.

Since our formation we have expanded our service coverage across the country with offices in Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Brighton giving us a true national presence.
