Service Information
With Governmental and the Public focus on Climate Change, Architects and Developers need to consider the impact that their designs are having on the environment like never before. Part L of the Building Regulations requires that SAP calculations and air tightness testing is carried out on all new build developments to prove that they are not contributing excessively to carbon emissions.
There is a high importance placed on getting building design right. Using quality assured software, our consultants can deliver Accredited SAP Ratings for new build dwellings.
The 2002 Part L Building regulations required proof that individual building elements met minimum performance standards. From 1st April 2006 the overall building has to achieve a specified carbon emissions target, known as the Target Emissions Rate or the TER.
It is obtained using the SAP Calculation Methodology and consists of an improvement in carbon emissions of 20% from the old regulations.
Our goal is to become a one stop shop for our clients to achieve hassle-free Part L compliance.
We have the capability to provide Accredited SAP calculations which means that Building Control can accept them without the need for further checks.
